Like many of you we are trying to make sense of today’s reality as we navigate this crisis. Our priority is in keeping our teams in Brussels, RD Congo and Rwanda safe and healthy.
In Belgium, our team is working from home and our store will be closed until further notice. You can always support us by shopping on our new beautiful website, we will deliver your orders to the best of our ability.
In Rwanda and RD Congo, the Co-Vid 19 epidemic has already resulted in cases in Kigali and Goma where our partner ateliers are based. In Kigali, the atelier is closed at present as per Government instruction. In Goma the atelier continues to operate, however the embroiders are working from home. For the sewing team that is still at work we have provided the material to create protection masks and helped re-arrange the workspace with recommended distancing requirements.
As a precaution we have provided funds per household for food necessities during this challenging period allowing our team to buy 10 kg of flour, 10 kg of rice, 10 kg of beans and 5 liter of oil. We will keep monitoring the situation and provide financial relief as long as possible. We hold in our thoughts and prayers all our teams but more specifically our oldest and wisest artisans, they are the guardians of our knowledge and expertise, and we hope they will get through this crisis safe and sound.
And to you our clients, partners and well-wishers across the globe Stay safe, stay home and take care,
